0:00 Hi, I'm Kirolos Abdalla, owner of Daytona Moving Bins Co. here in Ormond Beach. Here's how renting moving bins works.
0:08 First, pick a package on our website. Twenty bins for a studio, forty for most apartments, sixty or eighty for houses. Choose your delivery date and your pickup date.
0:20 On delivery day, we bring the bins to your door, stacked and clean, with a dolly and labels.
0:28 Each tote has a heavy-duty snap-on lid. Fill it, press the lid down until it clicks, and it stacks. No tape and no folding.
0:38 Keep each bin under about fifty pounds so it's easy to carry. Books go in half-full bins, and pillows can top them off.
0:48 Load them in the truck, move, and unpack at the new place. Then stack the empty bins by the door.
0:56 We pick them up on your pickup day, wash them, and they're ready for the next family. That's it.
What happens on delivery day?
We text you when we're on the way. Bins arrive stacked and nested, so 40 bins take up about the floor space of a dishwasher. If you're not home, we leave them in the spot you picked when booking.
How should I pack the bins?
- Keep each bin under about 50 pounds. Put books in half-full bins and top them off with towels or pillows.
- Label the end of the bin, not the lid, so you can read it when bins are stacked.
- Put a padlock or zip tie through the lid holes for valuables.
- Use a wardrobe box for hanging clothes. Bins are best for folded items.
More detail in our packing guide.
What happens at pickup?
Empty the bins, close the lids and stack them by the door, in the garage or wherever you told us. We collect them on your pickup day. You don't need to clean them: we wash and sanitize every bin before the next rental.
What if I need more time or more bins?
Text us before your pickup date. Extra weeks cost $30 to $65 depending on your package, and extra bins come in 10-packs for $25.
