How many moving bins do I need?
Short answer: plan on about 20 bins for a studio, 40 for a one- or two-bedroom apartment, 60 for a two- or three-bedroom house and 80 for a larger home. Add 10 to 20 bins for a full garage, home office or big book collection.
How many bins for each home size?
| Home | Bins | Package price |
|---|---|---|
| Studios, dorms and small one-bedroom apartments | 20 | $89 |
| One- and two-bedroom apartments or condos | 40 | $149 |
| Two- and three-bedroom homes | 60 | $199 |
| Three- and four-bedroom homes, or homes with a full garage | 80 | $249 |
What makes people need more bins?
- A garage full of tools, holiday decorations or sports gear: add 10 to 20.
- Books, records or collections: add 10, and only half-fill those bins.
- Home office with paper files: add 5 to 10.
- Kids' toys: add 5 to 10 per child.
What should not go in bins?
Hanging clothes (use wardrobe boxes), large framed art and mirrors, TVs, lamps and anything hazardous.
